Aussie developer Auran are gearing up for the release of Fury, their upcoming MMO-geared action title and the Brisbane-based company's largest undertaking yet. To celebrate, they're hosting a public beta style preview event this weekend for 60 hours from midday July 27. Participation is being managed on a first come first serve basis so get in quick, check out www.unleashthefury.com/PreviewEvent for all the details.

Relic has released a new patch for the much-loved Company of Heroes. No major game balancing changes this time however, just one tweak to the Allied War Machine special ability and a bunch technical bug-fixes. It takes two, baby

Electronic Arts have penned November 15 as the simultaneous world-wide release date for their upcoming action title Army of Two on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 - and yes, that includes Australia. Employing a very similar looking playing style to the acclaimed Gears of War with heavy focus on cooperative play, EA could well be onto a winner. KOEI's futuristic racing title, Fatal Inertia might have been first announced for the PlayStation 3, but the devs are reportedly having issues with the Unreal 3 engine on Sony's console and it's release has slipped. Capcom have released a stack of new screenshots from the upcoming Devil May Cry 4, the next addition to their acclaimed action game franchise. The latest stills show off the in-game battle between series veteren Dante and newcomer and similarly playable character Nero. Check them out in our online gallery for Devil May Cry 4.

The recent Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 have shown us that the Wii's unique control system can more than accomodate fighting games so it's expected that we'll be seeing more Wii titles in the genre.
