September 28 it is!
|
At long last coming out of "when it's done" status, Activision have set the magic date for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - September 28th. Australian shelves actually scheduled to see the game slightly ahead of North America.
The semi-public beta test has proven quite popular among the GameArena community and we will of course be right there with local server support come release day so mark this one on your calendars.
Namco Bandai have announced the official release dates for Hellgate London, the hotly anticipated action RPG from Bill Roper's Flagship Studios. The US will see an appropriate Halloween release on October 31 with Europe a couple of days later on November 2. The Australian release date has now been confirmed as November 1st, so timezones accounted for, simultaneous with the US - another win for Aussie gamers.
Also this week, we have a new Hellgate London Trailer, showing off the game's cooperative multiplayer and providing what we think is the best look at the gameplay in action to date.

The good Hoyle

Poker, who can explain its ongoing mystique? Rugby league great Steve Menzies tried to in one of our celebrity videos, but our bet is Ben, one of the stars of our "Ben and Richie" videogame review show might have the good oil.
He took out first prize in a celebrity poker challenge down at Crown Casino recently, defeating one-time Socceroo Kevin Muscat to take out first prize.
If you want to get to that level, you need to practice - and there's some great poker games on the Games Shop no matter how you like to play.
