Chopped or not?
When Rockstar Games attempted to release Manhunt 2 for the Wii, PS2 and PSP the US's ESRB granted the game an Adults Only rating, which, unfortunately for Rockstar, meant neither Sony or Nintendo could allow the game to be released on their respective consoles. Now the controversial publisher has resubmitted a modified version of the game and the ESRB has happily slapped a M rating on it which is now geared for a Halloween release in the US.

In the UK, Rockstar is appealing the decision the British Board of Film Classification made to ban the game, however, there has been no word on whether or not they will be resubmitting the modified version of the game the US did or if they will still try and have the original game released.

How this will affect an Australian release remains to be seen. The original Manhunt still on the Australian OFLC's list of Refused Classification titles.

Hotter than Heaven
Now as far as game names go, Painkiller is a little bit ambiguous. Is it some kind of migraine remedy? A de-stress tool? Perhaps a form of local anaesthetic?

The answer is: none of the above. Instead, it's a rip-roaring action blast as you take control of a fatal accident victim who wants to determine why he'se been denied entry into heaven. Fans of irony will especially enjoy not only the game, which is sublime, but the tagline: Heaven's got a Hitman. Marvellous stuff, that.
