Demo this: Aoe3:AD
Microsoft Games has released a playable demo for Age of Empires 3: The Asian Dynasties, the next expansion for Ensemble's much loved strategy series. Weighing in at 612MB (quite reasonable by today's demo download standards) the sampler offers a chance to trial the Japanese and British civilisations in a couple of game modes. Download it right here from GameArena files.

Activision has released a singleplayer PC demo for Call of Duty 4. The 1.4GB download includes one mission "The Bog". Grab it from BigPond GameArena. Ben & Ritchie also chat about it in their Summer Reviews video.

Massive Entertainment has released the first patch for the recently released World in Conflict. Update #001 includes a decent list of balancing changes and bug-fixes for a patch this soon after release. GameArena World in Conflict servers have now been updated so you'll need to follow suit if you wish to continue playing online. Check out our local download page for a complete list of the changes in v1.001. And if you haven't gotten into WiC yet (why?) - pick it up from the BigPond Games Shop.

Stoner's delight: MotoGP
With the Australian Moto GP 2007 about to kick off this weekend in Philip Island, THQ thought it would be the perfect time to let us check out the latest addition to their motorcycle racing sim MotoGP 07. Andy amps things up a notch, getting out on to the track himself with a Kawasaki ZX6-R for a few laps of the Philip Island Circuit to compare it with the in-game re-creation.

This one's a pretty big deal as they don't just let any old joker out there with a camera strapped to their bike. Check out Andy's five minute video feature right here in the BigPond GameArena video library.

THQ today has revealed a playable demo of their Conan videogame is available from both the Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360 and now also the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3. It's the 75th anniversary of the Conan namesake, and while the game is currently available on store-shelves, it could be worth checking out the demo beforehand. Check out the E3 2007 Conan trailer for a taste of this one (not to be confused with the upcoming MMO, Age of Conan).

PS3=price slashed 300
It's official - the news many have been waiting for is here as Sony issued a press release this week revealing the Australian details of a new 40GB PlayStation 3 model.

Set to launch on the 11th of October, the 40GB PlayStation 3 will fetch a RRP of 699.95 dollars Australian. As for what's different from the standard 60GB PlayStation3 - a couple of USB ports and card interfaces, and somewhat more noticeable - no backwards compatibility with PlayStation 2.

The next instalment in the hugely popular Battlefront series, Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, is now available for the PSP. Developed by Rebellion (the same team behind Rockstar's The Warriors on PSP), this portable entrant into the series offers some of the most compelling customisation yet seen and equally offers a unique multiplayer experience with 16 players able to battle online and eight via ad-hoc.

Rockstar, a developer well known for controversially violent titles surprised everyone when they released the budget title Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis for the Xbox 360, even more so when it was actually a fun game.
